We are a mission-driven initiative helping single-mothers navigate career advancement, public benefit transitions, and workforce barriers through relationship-centered, cliff-aware support.
A raise, promotion, or new job can sometimes trigger a sudden loss of public benefits that creates short-term financial instability for families already working hard to move forward.
Next Play uses a cliff-aware approach to help participants anticipate transitions, reduce disruption, and pursue advancement more sustainably.

Focused, high-touch cohorts designed for depth — not volume. The process starts with each participant's strengths, barriers, and financial context before mapping employment pathways and training opportunities.

Navigation & guidance: Goal alignment, training and employment connections
Retention support: Ongoing support to sustain employment and stability
*Cliff-aware means we plan around the reality that higher wages can trigger loss of critical supports — so every step forward is aligned with true economic mobility, not just a higher paycheck
Next Play contracts with nonprofits, workforce organizations, and community systems to deliver cliff-aware navigation support. We also welcome contributions to workforce navigation, guidance, and the Next Play Opportunity Fund -- covering certification fees, licensing costs, and work attire for participants.
